What is a Lunch-and-Learn?

You might be thinking… what is a lunch and learn? Great question! Here’s what a lunch-and-learn is all about. Personal development is the key to an engaged and more productive employee and workforce or as John says, “Growth doesn’t just happen… Personal growth is the cornerstone of success.

A Lunch-and-Learn is an opportunity for an employer to lift their employees up by kick starting their journey of personal development. During this 30 to 45 minute (they can choose the length, but we need at least 30 minutes for any “real” learning to happen), interactive learning session their employees will enjoy, be engaged in and benefit from learning how to grow as a person and as a professional.

After the Lunch-and-Learn their employees will clearly understand the importance of personal and professional development and that it is their responsibility to begin this journey sooner rather than later.

Lunch-and-Learn Programs typically revolve around the following subjects and the sub bullet is the John Maxwell book the content is developed from for the lunch-and-learn. As an added benefit it’s important to understand, the sessions are completely tailored to the team I’m speaking to and their needs based on a simple questionnaire they complete.

The Lunch-and-Learn sessions average 30 to 45 minutes and are packed full of information, interaction, and an open question and answer session with the intent of creating a fun learning environment to build awareness of the importance of personal development. My goal at each Lunch-and-Learn is to have each of the attending team members walk away with at least one mind-changing idea that will create a desire for motivation and self-improvement.

As always, my Lunch-and-Learns are complimentary and I customize the topics and approach to fit the team’s goals and objectives. Prior to the meeting, our process is to gather some information from the host (via a simple questionnaire) that helps me deliver an appropriate message that will benefit all participants.

Another way to look at Lunch-and-Learns

The other way to look at a lunch-and-learn would be to gather a group of your clients or prospects, provide them lunch and I’ll be more than happy to provide 30 to 45 minutes of valuable content. Doing this will highlight you as someone who brings them valuable information and resources.

You can count on that I’ll be sure to weave you into the presentation as a valuable resource and highlight areas where you are different than your competition.

Frankly, you won’t believe the power doing an event like this will have for your success. Give it a try!
